# Frankly.land

> Frankly.land is the personal website of Frank, a Dutch maker who builds things with AI that people actually use. The site is a 3D island in the browser (three.js) where visitors ride Frank's yellow fixie past his projects: the sun-finding app Coffee In The Sun, Berend Botje's hip-hop album Petje Op and SexGPT, the first automatic podcast. Around them: an AI Lab, a velodrome, a stunt park, a festival field, a beach club, a harbour, a lighthouse, a forest and a lake. All projects are Frank's personal projects; the site offers no services.

The site is in Dutch and English. The island runs on the real Amsterdam clock and calendar: the sun stands where it really stands, it gets dark at night and the seasons change. Every place has its own shareable page that opens the island right there, and every page contains the same content as plain text (text version: https://frankly.land/?text).

## Projects

- [Coffee In The Sun](https://frankly.land/coffee-in-the-sun): Frank's app for iPhone and Android that shows which café terraces are in the sun right now, from the real height of every building and the real position of the sun. Built with AI in a week; more than 50,000 visitors in its first week; featured by RTL Nieuws. Web: https://coffeeinthesun.app/nl/ · [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/coffee-in-the-sun/id6746173958) · [Google Play](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.franklyland.coffeeinthesun). On the island: a village terrace lit by the real Amsterdam sun.
- [Petje Op by Berend Botje](https://frankly.land/petje-op): twelve Dutch nursery rhymes everybody knows, remade as Dutch hip-hop; the debut album, out since Friday 11 September 2026 (12 tracks, 35 minutes). On the island it is a giant record player that plays a 50-second preview of all 12 tracks. Full album: [Spotify](https://open.spotify.com/album/4t61Wyl1VD1qhsBx8rvVLp) · [Apple Music](https://music.apple.com/nl/album/petje-op/6801634520) · [TIDAL](https://tidal.com/album/552452178) · [Deezer](https://www.deezer.com/album/1054456682) · [waarisberendbotje.nu](https://waarisberendbotje.nu/).
- [SexGPT](https://frankly.land/sexgpt): the first automatic podcast. An AI system wrote, voiced and edited 35 erotic stories by itself, one a day from December 2023 to January 2024, without a human in the loop. Made for Tonny Media; in English, 18+. All 35 episodes play in the studio on the island's radio hill. Feed and apps: https://pod.link/1720355465

## Places on the island (each URL opens the 3D island at that spot)

- [Home square](https://frankly.land/): the start, with the big FRANKLY.LAND letters you can knock over, the NEW FIT clothes shop (change Frank's outfit) and the solar tree.
- [AI Lab](https://frankly.land/ai-lab): a glass and timber pavilion with a glowing neural-network sculpture, a robot barista, the Microduck robot (it waddles, sits and skates on rollers), a chatbot kiosk with pre-written lines, a generative-art LED screen and delivery drones.
- [Velodrome](https://frankly.land/velodroom): banked open-air track with a lap timer and your best time.
- [Stunt park](https://frankly.land/stuntpark): mega ramp, half-pipe, pump-track rollers, kickers, a trampoline, a funbox and an AIRTIME screen.
- [Ferris wheel](https://frankly.land/reuzenrad): on the Petje Op festival field, with food trucks, bunting and a disco ball; in the evening fireworks go up while the record plays.
- [Beach](https://frankly.land/strand): beach huts, a lifeguard tower, kites, a sand castle you can ride through and a beach club with a DJ booth, bean bags and hammocks.
- [Harbour](https://frankly.land/haven): a timber jetty with Berend Botje's boat.
- [Lighthouse](https://frankly.land/vuurtoren): on its rock in the dunes; the beam sweeps the sea at night.
- [Waterfall](https://frankly.land/waterval): pours into the lake, with ducks, a heron and leaping fish.
- [Forest](https://frankly.land/bos): a dirt trail loop with a fox, rabbits, a clearing and fireflies at night.
- [Contact](https://frankly.land/contact): the mailbox where you write Frank a letter.

## Play

- Ride with WASD or the arrow keys (phones: a joystick), Shift to sprint, Space to hop, B for the bell, M for the map, E to interact.
- Collect 40 coffee beans: the last one sets off fireworks and earns the golden fixie for good. Unlock achievements (a few are secret), find Rebble, Frank's dog, who hides somewhere new on every visit, play pétanque by the café, and set a lap time.
- Other islanders ride the paths on city bikes and ring their bells; there is a night market after sunset, a rare rain shower with a rainbow, and seasons that follow the real calendar (no live weather).

## Contact

- [mail@frankly.land](mailto:mail@frankly.land): ideas, questions or a compliment about the fixie.

## Optional

- [Full text for language models](https://frankly.land/llms-full.txt): everything above in more detail, in English and Dutch, with the Petje Op track list, the SexGPT episodes and a short FAQ.
- [Text version](https://frankly.land/?text): the site as plain, accessible HTML.
